Ski for School at the Teddy Bedrossian Ski-a-Thon
Hit the slopes for a great cause.
Skiers and snowboarders will descend on Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Macungie, Pa. on Saturday, March 3, 2012 for the Teddy Bedrossian Ski-a-Thon.
The Ski-a-Thon was founded in 2011 in memory of Teddy Bedrossian, a former Elwyn Davidson School student. Teddy was an adorable, blond-haired, blue-eyed medically fragile boy with special needs. When he was born, doctors predicted he would only live to be four months old. Defying all odds, he lived to be 18 years old.
Teddy attended the Davidson School, where he thrived for many years. His presence brought an indescribable richness to many people. Unable to talk or hear, he did this through acts of kindness and a contagious smile. Four years ago, Teddy passed away, touching the lives of so many at Elwyn and the Davidson School.
In memory of his son, Dr. Ned Bedrossian started the event to assist in raising funds for needed renovations at the Davidson School. The mission of the Ski-a-Thon is to enhance educational opportunities for children with special needs by helping to renovate the aging Davidson School building. This year’s goal is to raise $50,000.
The event includes a full-day lift ticket with line cutting privileges, a buffet luncheon and awards ceremony. All participants will receive an event t-shirt and a discount on rental equipment. The snow tubing park will be available for...
